BEGINNING BLUEGRASS BANJO CD - DISK 1

This CD contains everything needed for a rank beginner with absolutely no musical background or experience on banjo or any other instrument. You do not need to know how to read music or tablature. You will learn to play banjo by ear, which will allow you to train your ear at the same time you learn to play banjo. In the beginning, you may find it difficult to memorize short passages, but you will find that your memory will improve as you continue on with the course. In fact, my retired banjo students have said that their memory has improved in EVERY area of their life -- not just in banjo playing!

It's a really great instructional CD believe me - it's not my first - I had another one - ended up trashing it. Whoever did it was more concerned with impressing the listeners with his intelligence to adequately and simply explain how to do it. CONTENTS OF CD

Disk 1 explains banjo rolls, their purpose and how to play them, along with the popular "G" lick, and five songs. Each roll or pattern is explained in detail, then is played. In many cases, one roll or pattern will link with the next roll or pattern, then is played again. In addition to the explanation tracks, you will have a choice to play along with each of the five songs at three different speeds: slow, medium, and fast. And when we say slow, we mean SLOW!
